EMILY FRANCES KAPLAN is filmmaker with a background in visual art and theatre.

Emily is a writer/director based in NYC and LA. Her short films have played festivals including Atlanta, Austin, and other Oscar Qualifiers. She also designs and animates commercial work for companies including Vogue, Google, Netflix, and many more. She has animated and designed sequences for feature documentaries screening at Sundance and SXSW, and has art directed narrative work by visionary directors such as Gaspar Noé and Rick Alverson.

Emily has also acted in off broadway NYC theater, and produced work at Ars Nova and Theatre Row. She holds degrees in Philosophy and Studio Art.
